Hello and welcome to Wizno.com. If you’ve visited in the past you or you know me personally then you know I’ve never been one for using wordpress or any other CMS because I prefer updating my websites on my own. Although many people complain about the hassle of needing to do that, I’ve always enjoyed doing it my way because it was more of a challenge. Simply put, it didn’t feel like a shortcut
. Now I’m not going to lie, I do enjoy shortcuts for certain things, but when I enjoy doing something I always want to spend as much time as I can on it.
Anyway, my landing page style layout titled “2009 [Pro]gression” has been retired to my archives and will still be available for viewing by clicking on my archives link.
Why the change to a WordPress based website?
Time. I suppose that is the best way to put it. WordPress is so feature rich that I can’t think of a reason not to run your website any other way if you’re running a personal website or if you’re a small business. Heck, all types of businesses are using WordPress today. It’s really easy to install, configure, add content, plugins, widgets, wazoodles, and widoodles! OK, so I made the last 2 up, but it’s honestly a great solution for many people.
However, with my “Achieve more everyday” motto, that means I have to learn how to design for wordpress now. Quite honestly, it’s a bit of a pain because I was perfectly comfortable designing on the fly, and now I have to learn to accommodate WordPress options in my designs. It’s not a bad thing as much as it is an obstacle, and I love obstacles. (I have Challenge written on my forehead.) I feel like my writing makes no sense, and I apologize if it is that way. I’ve been working on this all day.
Here’s what you need to know: Change is here, and it is only for the good of you and me. I’ll be sharing information that I find interesting with you. Hopefully this information will interest to you and can benefit you in some way as well.
Welcome to Phase 4.
